HBF is Now Offering Counselling Rebates via ARHG

HBF has joined the list of health funds offering counselling rebates through the Australian Regional Health Group (ARHG). If you're already an ARHG-accredited provider (previously referred to as holding a Police Health Fund number), no further action is needed—you can now offer rebates to HBF clients.

HBF utilises ARHG's ancillary provider accreditation service to manage provider registrations. They automatically download provider information from ARHG on the 15th of every month, so there's no need to contact HBF directly for registration purposes.

To learn more or to apply to become an ARHG-recognised provider, visit PACFA’s ARHG Health Funds Rebates webpage. Please note that HBF requires all counsellors to be accredited with ARHG in order to process client claims.

Why Obtain a Health Fund Provider Number?

  • Client Rebates: Accreditation allows your clients to claim rebates from their health fund for your services.
  • Professional Credibility: Recognition by health funds supports your standing as a qualified practitioner.
  • Increased Visibility: Clients looking for rebate-eligible services are more likely to choose accredited providers.
