Supervision Training Providers can apply to have supervision training programs that meet the requirements of PACFA's Supervision Training Standards assessed and accredited by PACFA.
In addition to completing a supervision training program, that meets the requirements of the Supervision Training Standards 2020, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for an Accredited Supervisor.
As part of the eligibility requirements all applicants must demonstrate:
- Have 5 years’ practice experience including 3 years as a PACFA Clinical Registrant (or equivalent membership of a comparable Professional Association),
- Complete a Supervisor training program which meets the Supervision Training Standards (at least 36 hours of teaching in supervision theory and practice which may take place person-to-person or via synchronous online learning,
- Have a minimum of 10 hours of practice in the role of supervisor during the training, and 2 hours of supervision on supervision (The
supervised practice may be undertaken with private supervision clients or with supervision clients
arranged by the training program).
