Qualification (Bachelor’s degree minimum):

  • Registered Counsellor (holding registration with a relevant association).
  • Psychologist (holding provisional or general registration).
  • Mental health nurse (credentialed or working towards credentialing).
  • Mental health social worker (credentialed or working towards credentialing).
  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting providing direct consumer counselling and therapeutic interventions.

Essential criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, plan, and manage own calendar and manage own time according to priority.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based theory, comprehensive assessment and tools, and care planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and create positive professional relationships.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with adults in a mental health setting.
  • Facilitating and delivering groups with a therapeutic outcome.

From $42.33 to $48.14 per hour exclusive of Superannuation.

Location: Clinical, Hobart
