What you’ll do

 Kingswood College is seeking a permanent, full-time Counsellor to join its counselling team. Based at their scenic Box Hill campus, the position is suited to those who flourish in an environment focussed on supporting young people's emotional, social and academic growth.  


The successful candidate will: 

  • Provide counselling to students and engage with families as required
  • Support staff in managing student needs, particularly during crises or critical incidents
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of wellbeing programs and initiatives
  • Promote child safety and adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and welfare policies
  • Engage in professional development and maintain strong links with external health professionals
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating Kingswood College's values.

 

The details

  • Full time position, 38 hours per week
  • $84,000 - $97,000 per annum plus superannuation
  • Located in Box Hill, VIC

 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counselling or equivalent
  • Registration with a professional body as a Counsellor (e.g., PACFA, ACA)
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with K-12 students
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal commitment to child safety.
