What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced Youth and Family Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team working with young people aged 12- 18 years and their families, and hope to have our new team member start in early February 2024. Sessions are scheduled to give maximum access to youth after school, therefore this role may suit people studying or in private practice.


The details

  • Part-time position, 15 hours per week
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon/evenings from 1:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Located in St Marys, NSW
  • SCHADS Award Level 5 (paypoint dependent upon experience) plus superannuation

 

What you’ll bring

  • Master's degree in Counselling/Psychotherapy with specialisation in Adolescent counselling preferred
  • Current registration with CCAA, PACFA, or similar
  • Minimum 2 years’ counselling experience working with Youth and/or Families
  • Experience working across a range of issues such as: Anxiety, Depression, Gender Identity, Family Relationships, Domestic Violence, Parental Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Parenting Skills, School and Learning Difficulties
  • Knowledge of current Child Protection, Work Health & Safety and Privacy legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Client Management Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working with Children Check clearance
  • Current Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Clearance (desirable)
