About Metavision Institute

Metavision Institute offers accredited postgraduate programs in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic practice) at both the graduate diploma and master’s levels. Other courses and opportunities are coming. Our holistic approach develops an understanding of the living Human Being in a process of becoming. Drawing on the New Sciences, the Process Science of Arnold Mindell and others, and wisdom traditions from the East and West, the courses offer a unique, dynamic, and effective approach to working with Mental health issues to assist in meeting some of the diverse needs of our times. The holistic and experiential methods of education used at the Institute ensures the students learn through doing, self-reflection and development, as well as academic skill. The Metavision Institute was Founded in 2004, has an ongoing PACFA accreditation since 2011, and more recently in 2021, TEQSA accreditation, becoming a private Higher Education Institute. What you'll do

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the design, delivery, and assessment of courses across the discipline of holistic counselling and psychotherapy
  • Provide oversight of and manage student matters with the Academic Teaching Team (Course Coordinators, academic staff, casual academics and markers)
  • Where appropriate teach on Metavision Institute’s AQF Level 8 and 9 courses
  • Collaborate with faculty members, subject matter experts, and industry partners to develop relevant and engaging curriculum that meets the evolving needs of students and the workforce
  • Oversee and coordinate the placement process for students, including internships, externships, and experiential learning opportunities, to enhance their professional skills and career readiness
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with employers, organizations, and community stakeholders to facilitate meaningful student placements and foster industry connections
  • Lead efforts to assess and enhance the effectiveness of courses and student placements through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to program academic staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, quality improvement and excellence
  • Stay abreast of trends, developments, and best practices in higher education, curriculum design, and student placement strategies at the appropriate appointment level
  • Foster the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
  • Complete duties as delegated by the Dean
  • Implement and contribute to the continuous quality improvement of academic governance and TEQSA compliance activities
  • Identify, report and manage risks
  • Report to governance committees and Boards

The details

  • Part time (0.6-0.8 EFT as negotiated)
  • Remote working position
  • $50-$60 per hour

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Completed PhD 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program development, curriculum design, and/or improving the student experience within a higher education setting
  • A record of publications and/or academic leadership achievements
  • Strong familiarity with the Higher Education Standards Framework and TEQSA accreditation and registration requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing innovative curriculum, experiential learning and blended online learning opportunities
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining effective partnerships with industry stakeholders, employers, and community organisations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders
  • Strong digital literacy skills, including experience using online project management tools like Monday.com or Notion
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and student placements
  • Patience and insight during a period of change
