What you’ll do

Anglicare and CatholicCare are collaborating to deliver an exciting new and life-changing program called Supporting Recovery. As mission-aligned organisations, Anglicare and CatholicCare care about people and our mission is to make a genuine difference in the lives of people in the community.

The Supporting Recovery program will deliver Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) trauma-informed mental health care services within South West Sydney to support victim-survivors in their longer-term recovery.

Key elements of the service include:

  • Victim-survivors of FDSV and their families have free access for up to 2 years to evidence-based trauma informed mental health care
  • Provision of psychological therapies and other appropriate wellbeing and social interventions
  • Collaborations with other services to facilitate coordination of care and assist with referral pathways
  • Community engagement activities to increase community awareness


The purpose of this role is to provide family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV) trauma-informed mental health care services, including psychological therapies and other appropriate wellbeing and social interventions within South West Sydney to support victim-survivors in their longer-term recovery. The successful candidate will provide training and supervision to Supporting Recovery program staff. Also, to ensure clinical standards of the program are consistent with Supporting Recovery Model of Care and best practice standards in supporting FDSV victim-survivors.

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Located in Campbelltown and Liverpool
  • Salary as per SCHADS 6

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualification applicable to role; e.g. psychology, counselling, social work, nursing or similar
  • Registration with relevant professional body; i.e. PACFA Clinical, minimum level 4 ACA, APHRA, AASW mental health social worker accreditation
  • 5+ years’ experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges and FDSV (essential)
  • Supervision registration with relevant professional body
  • Previous experience supporting CALD clients (desirable)
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence, Police Check, and NSW WWCC
