About me

My practice
Amy (she/her) is a clinical registrant of PACFA living and working on Wurundjeri land (Naarm/Melbourne, VIC). She has completed a Bachelors in Counselling, a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Behavioural Science and is a Doctoral Candidate at Latrobe University. She is an accredited clinician and member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders. She offers counselling and therapy for a variety of clientele, with a special interest in complex trauma and Eating Disorders. Amy is a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and provides a neuroaffirming space.

She has a dynamic and integrative approach to her clients, utilising aspects of CBT, DBT mindfulness, person centred counselling and other therapies, tailoring her counselling to each individual client. She draws on her clients strengths and works with them to build a positive life, explore issues and provides care and support. Providing a space of safety and affirmation are always at the forefront of how Amy works and she welcomes your personal input on how she can create the right space for you.

In addition to counselling, Amy is also a certified Yoga teacher and is available for private lessons. Amy brings a mental health and wellbeing focus to her yoga classes, helping you to connect with your body and your mind. Amy currently offers yoga classes for individuals recovering from an Eating Disorder.

Amy's previous work includes working for both public and private mental health services (inpatient and outpatient) and youth residential care, as well as volunteer work for Sacred Heart Mission. She has worked at Eating Disorders Victoria, the Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders and The Butterfly Foundation.
