About me

My practice
Dr Lakeman has 30+ years of experience working in the mental health and psychotherapy field. He is currently an Associate Professor of Mental Health and provides psychotherapy, supervision and case consultation on a part-time basis. He has a particular interest in working with people who have experienced trauma , or are survivors of the mental health system. He also works with health professionals and first-responders who have been impacted by workplace trauma. He has a focus on positive psychology, thriving and enhancing recovery. He also has qualifications and experience undertaking trauma processing (EMDR). Dr Lakeman has additional training in family therapy.
