The number of client hours you log determines the number of annual supervision hours you are required to meet:
*Even if you have a small number of client hours, you must meet the minimum supervision hours requirement.
If you became a PACFA member after 1 August 2023, a pro-rata exemption for your supervision and CPD will be automatically applied to your renewal form.
For the duration of your PACFA registration, you must hold current and adequate individual and/or employer's professional indemnity and public liability cover for all aspects of your practice, in all location where you practice.
You'll need a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (formerly 'National Police check') obtained within the last 2 years. PACFA uses the same standards as AHPRA. During renewals, registrants must provide a copy of their Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check certificate.
As part of PACFA's work advocating for greater recognition of registered practitioners and ensuring our members meet the community's expectations of safety and quality, PACFA does not support practitioners working with children and young people (up to the age of 18 years) without having gained a valid Working with Children Check Clearance.
As part of the 2023 renewal process, members that work with children and young people must provide evidence of a valid Working with Children Check clearance.
