INTERPLAY THERAPY – LEVEL 1
Level 1 is a 3 day in-person class where you will be introduced into the wonderful world of Interplay and it's theoretical framework and evidence base.
Ideal for anyone working with children and families; it offers participants the opportunity to learn about Interplay principles & practices in a safe and supportive environment. Other counseling approaches, work roles, and settings with children can very successfully integrate many of the skills.
Interplay is a non-directive approach that combines humanistic principles with attachment theory where parents and care givers become central to the child's therapeutic process. Interplay is a humanistic play therapy approach that can be used across the lifespan.
As a result of taking this training you, will learn:
- An introduction to the amazing world of Interplay and it's theoretical framework
- The importance of the first 3 years of life and how it shapes who we become
- The fascinating world of pre and perinatal psychology
- Wired for we, attachment and how it affects our world
- Root cause of behaviours/symptoms
- Why Play and what materials
- Principles and Practices of Interplay Play Therapy, working within the dyad
- Skill set and healing message
- Understanding/making meaning of the healing process
Interplay Australia and Play Therapy Australia is a lead training organisation and has been training professionals in play therapy for over 25 years. We offer 1 day workshops right through to a clinical training program. Our training is held in Australia and Asia and is now accessible via distance learning!

Cost: $795.00
*Where permitting, the training session is available in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Darwin for an in person 3-day training workshop. Alternatively, the course will be available virtually through Zoom for all participants.
