Artificial Intelligence is a revolutionary technology that has, is, and will continue to transform society, bringing efficiency and customised knowledge to our daily lives. Clinical supervisors can learn how to use it in ways that are ethical, will save them time with some tasks, and may enhance the quality of their decision-making, conceptualisation and professional development. Even if clinical supervisors do not wish to incorporate it into their practice, they should learn about it given some of their supervisees will already be using it.
This presentation will provide an introduction to AI use for clinical supervisors, to better equip them to understand it and, if they choose, to consider how they might utilise it to support their own supervision practice. The session will include lecture, demonstrations, and breakout room discussions.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe AI's function within clinical supervision.
- Analyse the primary ethical risks associated with AI.
- Identify practical applications of AI tools for enhancing supervision.
Who is this event for?
This session is designed for all clinical supervisors, from beginners to those with intermediate knowledge of AI.
