To keep your Provider Number active with a Private Health Fund, you need to have a current 'Provide First Aid certificate HLTAID003/HLTAID011'. This certificate needs to be renewed every three years. If PACFA or a health fund audits you, you'll need to provide your current 'Provide First Aid certificate HLTAID003/HLTAID011' within seven days of getting a written request.

You are required to email a copy of your 'Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID003/HLTAID011' to [email protected] at least one month before your old certificate expires. Make sure to include the name(s) of your health fund(s) and your provider number(s).

You can also upload it yourself by going to your member portal. Just head to PACFA membership portal > My Documents, upload the First Aid certificate, and add the expiry date.

Remember, the 'HLTAID001 CPR component' isn't enough, as it only covers CPR skills and knowledge. If your 'Provide First Aid certificate HLTAID003/HLTAID011' expires and PACFA hasn't received a new one, all your provider numbers will be closed.
