Five Renewal Requirements for Clinical and Certified Practising Registrants

All Clinical and Certified Practising registrants must annually demonstrate they have met PACFA's Five Renewal Requirements. Here's a breakdown of what you need to provide:

1. Annual CPD Requirements

Complete 20 hours of CPD annually, with at least 10 hours in Category A.

2. Annual Supervision Requirements

Complete 10 hours of formal supervision on client caseload within the last 12 months. If you have 400 and over client practice hours per annum, complete 15 hours. No grace period is allowed.

3. Insurance

Provide evidence of current professional indemnity and public liability insurance. If covered by your employer, submit a letter from the employer.

4. Criminal History Check

Submit a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check obtained within the last two years (issued after May 1, 2022). If still valid, you may reuse the check from the last renewal period.

5. Working with Children Check

If working with children or adolescents, ensure your Working with Children Check is up to date.

By meeting these requirements and submitting the necessary documentation, you help maintain the high standards of practice within PACFA and contribute to the safety and trust of those we serve.

Private health Funds

If you have an active Private Health Fund provider number, please ensure you renew your registration promptly and upload all necessary documents. This is essential to maintain your registration as per the Private Health Fund requirements. If your PACFA registration lapses, so does your provider number with health funds. Your provider number will not be able to be used and you will need to reapply to reinstate it once your PACFA registration is reinstated.
