PACFA advocates for appropriate, accessible health services to meet
the bio-psychosocial needs of consumers. Counselling and psychotherapy
focus on the prevention of mental illness and the provision of
psychotherapeutic interventions for psychological difficulties, while
actively promoting the development, mental health and wellbeing of
consumers.
We are actively campaigning for recognition of counsellors and
psychotherapists by Government and private health funds, building the
profile of the counselling and psychotherapy profession, and raising
community awareness of counselling and psychotherapy.
