Call for interest in new College of Creative and Experiential Arts Therapies

PACFA is seeking expressions of interest for the proposed new College of Creative and Experiential Arts Therapies*.

We encourage you to register interest if you would like to be involved in the formation of the College, or would like to join the College if it is formed.

The proposed new College of Creative and Experiential Arts Therapies would be a purposeful, supportive collective that provides a professional home for Australian therapists working within a diverse range of arts-based and experiential practices.

Through the College, members would raise awareness and advocate for greater recognition of creative arts therapists as valued members of Australia’s mental health workforce, and build partnerships that increase Australians’ access to creative arts therapies.

A group of PACFA members have met to discuss preliminary ideas for the College, and to begin the process of creating a formal application for the creation of a new College.

If you are interested in being part of the process of creating the new College register your interest. A meeting is scheduled mid-December, with the meeting date yet to be announced – please email our Membership Development Coordinator Lucy Cremin ([email protected]) to be advised of the meeting date and time.

If you do not have the capacity to assist with the creation of the College, but would be interested in joining the College of Creative and Experiential Arts Therapies if successfully formed, please register your interest

*Official name to be decided by members once group is formed
