Expressions of Interests are sought from Psychotherapists to join the College of Psychotherapy Leadership Group.

The Leadership Group is reforming with Valerie Redman as the new Convenor. Valerie was elected as the Psychotherapy Representative on the PACFA Board at the October AGM.

The Leadership Group needs to increase its numbers as they are taking on new functions relating to implementation of PACFA’s Psychotherapy Training Standards (currently being finalised) and consultation with Psychotherapy Training Providers.

To join the Leadership Group, it is a requirement to be a Clinical or Provisional member of the College of Psychotherapy.

To apply, please complete the College of Psychotherapy Leadership Group EOI form. Once we receive your completed form, PACFA will request a copy of your current CV/Resume to complete the application process

PACFA Interest Group – Older People

PACFA is seeking Expressions of Interest from members for the formation of a new Interest Group, Older People. The mental health of older people is often overlooked in health care service delivery and planning, with the majority of Government funded services delivered in residential care settings, while the majority of older people living in community experience variable acces to care. There is a significant role to be played by counsellors and psychotherapists in providing supports and advocating for the diverse mental health needs of older people. The PACFA Older People Interest Group will focus on raising awareness and advocacy on key relating to the mental health and well-being of older people and promote good practice through the development and identification of practice resources and PD opportunities working with older people.

To register your interest in becoming a member please complete the Older People Interest Group EOI  form.
