Introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS)

31 August, 14 and 21 September 2024, 8:00am - 12:00pm AEST

 

This course will include didactic and experiential learning and be focused on deepening into the skills needed to be finely attuned to your client, using the IFS Model.

• Learn why IFS is the fastest growing therapy modality in the world because of its efficacy (and what that looks like in practice)
• Learn the flow of the IFS model
• Gain an understanding of working with protectors, addressing concerns and working with polarized parts
• Practice essential skills such as Parts Detecting, 6 F's, Insight and Direct Access 
• Watch demonstrations of each skill and then practice in groups.
• Spaciousness for lots of questions
• A group space that is held as a process group and self reflection is modelled and welcomed by the training team. 

This course is not affiliated with the Internal Family Systems Institute (IFSI) nor is it a substitute for nor equivalent to the IFS Institutes Level 1, 2 or 3 trainings. To become IFS certified, you must complete the IFS Institute's Level 1 training and complete the certification process.

10 years post qualification experience working in Mental Health with clients who experience diagnoses of BPD and schizophrenia
Ethics approval as co-investigator in research on IFS and Psychosis, with Flinders Uni and University of California San Francisco - starting in 2024

This course counts towards 12 hours of category A CPD.
