Physical activity has now become a common strategy and recommendation in mental health practice. However, many mental health professionals find it difficult to discuss physical activity with clients. On top of this, most publicly available information focuses on the frequency, duration, and intensity of physical activity for physical health. This webinar summarises research that examined 1,000 different physical activity recounts to understand how different physical activity options in different environments, lead to different mental health outcomes, for different people. Findings indicate, when, where, how, and with who physical activity is likely to be most beneficial for mental health. As a result, completion of this webinar will lead to greater confidence in providing more detailed, and individualised, physical activity recommendations for your clients.

This PD consists of 2 parts:

90 minutes of prerecorded material to watch as a prerequisite from 16 March to 25 March at your convenience

60 minutes of online interactive Q&A 26 March 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm AEDT.

The prerecorded material will be sent to all registrants on March 16. Prerecorded session and Q&A recordings will be available to registrants for 12 months after the event.
