Northern Territory Branch

The Northern Territory officially commenced operating on 1 June 2026.

Individual members of PACFA in the Northern Territory receive automatic membership of the NT Branch with their PACFA membership.

A Leadership Group has been established to lead the Branch and to plan activities for members, which will include:

  • Providing continuing professional development
  • Providing opportunities for networking and peer support
  • Undertaking local outreach
  • Promoting PACFA to local education providers and students
  • Building a vibrant community of practitioners in a particular geographic area
  • Providing opportunities for practitioners in regional and rural areas to participate

Northern Territory Leadership Group

The Northern Territory Leadership Group consists of PACFA members dedicated to supporting the branch’s activities and goals. The group plays an active role in fostering professional development, networking, and outreach in the NT region.

Meet the Leadership Group

Convenor - Rebecca Cambrell

Rebecca Cambrell is a resourceful and accomplished counsellor and therapist with 25 years’ experience. Most recently living and working within remote and rural communities focused on Aboriginal health and cohorts living with complex trauma, incarceration, and extreme disadvantage. She has worked within government and non-government organizations including acute medical and residential psychiatric facilities. Most recently she has been leading groups in the Barkly Work Camp men’s prison, Tennant Creek, and providing EAP services to Corrections staff. Rebecca is the recipient of the ‘Aboriginal Engagement and Leadership Award’, Department of the Attorney-General and Justice, Northern Territory. She has nearly completed her Masters of Counselling which she has been doing ever so slowly along the way whilst negotiating floods, bushfires, cyclones and the odd earthquake.

Nina Linder

Nina Linder moved to the NT in 2021, towards the end of completing her Master of Counselling. She lived and worked in a remote Aboriginal community before starting her own private practice in Coolalinga. Nina’s primary focus is on trauma at all stages of life and how this can negatively impact people’s lives. The progression of OC as a professional and rewarding profession is important to Nina, and she is pleased to be involved with the NT PACFA Leadership Group.

Tara Skipp

Tara is the manager of Counselling and Organisational Wellbeing Services at Relationships Australia Northern territory, where she leads a team of counsellors and delivers wellbeing programs to organisations across the NT. Alongside her leadership role, she maintains a private practice and is a clinical supervisor.

Tara holds a Master of Counselling alongside postgraduate studies in Teaching Meditation and Organisational Executive Coaching. Her counselling career has spanned private practice, school settings, NGOs, and the NDIS sector.

Jonelle Patton

Jonelle is a Registered Clinical Psychotherapist and Supervisor based in Larrakia Country in Darwin. She has almost three decades experience working in the not-for-profit, government and private sectors as a psychotherapist.

Her practice is grounded in the human condition and the embodied experience of what it means to be alive. Her trauma-focused, relational approach draws on Existential, Mindful Self-Compassion, Compassion Inquiry and Attachment-Informed EMDR.

Jonelle joined as a founding member of the PACFA NT Branch Leadership Group to contribute and engage in the professionalism and connection for counsellors and psychotherapists across the Territory.
