The purpose of this course is to equip counselling and psychotherapy professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish and run a successful private practice. At the end of the program the participants will have a solid idea of their business strategy, marketing strategy (including digital and non-digital marketing), brand identity, ideal client profile, and how to use market segmentation to promote their business. This is a practical hands-on course where the participants will have an opportunity to implement the material between sessions. They will be given easy to implement templates and tools to start applying what they have learned immediately.

Session 1     Private practice fundamentals - memberships, insurance, renting rooms, bookkeeping and admin, business tools, etc.

Session 2     Vision of your ideal practice and what are the barriers to making it a reality – exploring external hurdles and internal barriers to making a private counselling practice a successful and thriving business.

Session 3     Finding your niche – exploring personal brand, market segmentation, and ideal client profile.    

Session 4     Getting on the same page - writing a copy that attracts your perfect clients to your practice.

Session 5     Nuts and bolts – specific marketing/social media tools 
useful in running a private practice

 
This is a 7.5 hour online course which runs once a week via 5 x 1.5 hour interactive webinar sessions 6:30pm-8:00pm AEDT

Trainer: Anya Grichina

MSciMed (HIV, STI & Sexual Health), USyd; BCoun, ACAP.

Anya is a counsellor and an educator. She splits her time between her private practice in Surry Hills, Sydney, and teaching counselling at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC). She specialises in relationship and sexual health counselling, working with couples and individuals. She also works with clients with intellectual disabilities, using adjusted psychotherapy modalities and positive behaviour support plans. She is acclaimed as an engaging and inspiring presenter whose seminars often change the way her students look at and feel about counselling and psychotherapy practice.

What to Expect After you Register:

Once registered, your personal Zoom link will be dispatched directly to you via email from Zoom within 1 hour after registration. Please keep an eye on your inbox for an email from Zoom [email protected]. All future correspondence pertaining to this event, including event recordings, will be communicated through the PACFA email address [email protected]. To ensure a seamless experience, we recommend adding both of these email addresses to your safe sender list to prevent any missed communications. The link stays the same for all sessions of the course.

This course is best enjoyed if you can participate interactively and work in breakout rooms, however, all recordings are provided (except for breakout rooms discussions).

Event Cancellations

Customers seeking to cancel their registration more than 5 working days (for courses) and 48 hours (for webinars) prior to the event date may request a credit to be applied to their account. Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. Cancellations made with less notice than this are non-refundable or exchangeable. Credits will be accessible through the PACFA Portal and are valid for up to a year from the purchase date. This policy is at the discretion of PACFA and may change.
