This 2-hour webinar is for Counsellors interested in providing therapy to adults and young people with disability. This training will present strategies and resources to assist your clients in sharing their past experiences, present challenges, and their hopes for the future. People with disability most often have a goal (like most people) of “having a partner”.
This webinar will discuss the following:
- Providing therapy to people with disability
- Practical activities to support friendship and relationships skills development
- Discussions about sexuality and rights
- Using disability related resources
We will also look at an overview of Services supporting Clients with disability and a valuable resource for Counsellors. EG National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Family Planning (FPA) and People with Disability (PWD).
For PACFA Registrants, the webinar counts as 2 hours of Category A CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

Liz Dore
Liz has 20 years experience in Private Practice, providing Counselling in relationships and Sexuality to people with disability and others. She has a Degree in Special Education, Graduate Diploma in Relationships Counselling and Cert IV in Sexuality training. Her experience includes working with Family Planning and providing Professional Development to Staff and Counsellors within Disability services and schools. The focus of her counselling has been to support clients process past experiences, share the positives and challenges of the present, form meaningful relationships and a develop a positive awareness of their sexuality.
