Interactive Drawing Therapy Foundation Course: Unit 1 & 2

The Centre for Art Psychotherapy

Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT) Foundation Course: Unit One and Unit Two

A unique page-based way of working with words, images and feelings. The page becomes a mirror through which the client is able to see themselves, facilitating insight, resourcefulness and change. IDT is a client-centred process in which you actively partner the client in the process of deepening the work often through the development of metaphors. The counsellor does not interpret the drawn images.
Unit One introduces the IDT Basic Method as a unique drawing tool and Unit Two introduces how IDT works with therapeutic process, parts work, words, levels of issues and transitions.
By the end of the course participants can work with presenting issues using IDT drawing interventions to explore and develop client thematic frameworks.
