This 4-day, live and interactive workshop will focus on advanced CBT skills. Theoretical aspects will include differences between the various approaches to CBT and their implications, integration of other techniques with CBT and advanced disputation. The program will address issues related to CBT with a range of challenging clients.
This workshop is for participants who have completed the Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Areas covered in this workshop may include:
*CBT with difficult clients
*CBT in the treatment of PTSD and OCD
*Advanced disputation strategies
*CBT and resilience: a positive approach
Detailed instructions will be given regarding how to use the online platform. It will not be onerous. Please note that the times below are in Australian Eastern Daylight Time.

The days will involve morning lecture/discussion sessions with a strong emphasis on skills application and demonstration. Participants will be required to practice therapy skills between the sessions
In the afternoon, small group workshops with a maximum of six participants, will focus on skills development involving modelling, role-play, discussion and reviewing the recordings made between sessions, made with either an assigned buddy or a client who has given consent.

This event counts as 28 hours of category A CPD for PACFA’s membership renewal requirements. An assessment is available for those required (or optional) to complete. Results will be emailed.
