
The Tasmanian Branch officially commenced operating on 1 July 2016.
Individual members of PACFA in Tasmania receive automatic membership of the Tasmanian Branch with their PACFA membership.
Activities will include:

Providing continuing professional development

Providing opportunities for networking and peer support

Undertaking local outreach

Promoting PACFA to local education providers and students

Building a vibrant community of practitioners in a particular geographic area

Providing opportunities for practitioners in regional and rural areas to participate
Tasmania Leadership Group
Fiona Baillie (Convenor) has worked as a Counsellor and Mediator with Relationships Australia for the last 14 years. Prior to that she worked in regional Queensland in both these roles as well as education and Family Violence Programs. She has formally been part of the local counselling network for the last 7 years and is interested in developing networking and professional development opportunities for Tasmanian members.
Dr Andrea Breen is a creative arts therapist, counsellor and educator. In recent years, she has specialised in working with former refugees recovering from trauma and working with children using non-directive play therapy. She is also a musician and composer and believes that listening is fundamental to therapeutic relationships.
Toni Lee is a counsellor, criminologist and advocate with experience working in the youth justice and child protection fields in Australia and the UK. Her extensive experience enables her to work with clients with complex needs. Toni promotes a healthy mind/body philosophy and believes that with knowledge, awareness and self-belief, every-one can achieve their goals. Toni has worked in the government and non-government sectors and her approach to counselling encompasses a person-centred, solution-focused and strength-based modality with a focus on trauma and the justice system.
Kaye de Ville is a psychotherapist who works in private practice in North Hobart Tasmania. She has returned to Tasmania after 35 years living in Central London in the UK where she trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist with Psychosynthesis and Education Trust, facilitated with East London University. (UEL). She is dedicated to community engagement and professional development as essential to working in private practice.
Lyndy Burt was elected to the Leadership Group in August 2019.
