Tasmania Branch Leadership Group

Fiona Baillie (Convenor) has worked as a Counsellor and Mediator with Relationships Australia for the last 14 years. Prior to that she worked in regional Queensland in both these roles as well as education and Family Violence Programs. She has formally been part of the local counselling network for the last 7 years and is interested in developing networking and professional development opportunities for Tasmanian members.

 


Berry Dunston (Deputy Convenor) has been working from her private practice in North Hobart and a been a member of the Professional Counselling Assoc. Tasmania committee since 2008. Berry is also a PACFA Accredited Clinical Supervisor and has been teaching and providing External Supervision for University of Tasmania Counselling students and others over recent years.

 

Dr Andrea Breen is a creative arts therapist, counsellor and educator. In recent years, she has specialised in working with former refugees recovering from trauma and working with children using non-directive play therapy. She is also a musician and composer and believes that listening is fundamental to therapeutic relationships.

 

 

Kaye de Ville is a Psychotherapist and Counsellor who worked in private practice in London from 1980s before returning to her native Tasmania in 2017. She began her career in Mental Health Services, Hobart in 1976 with Dr Cunningham Dax assisting him on a multi-problem family study. She then moved to Canberra and then onto the UK in 1980s, where she studied transpersonal perspectives with Barbara Somers and Ian Gordon Brown from the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology. Her interest on the relationship between body and mind developed during this time and she went on to study and practice Shiatsu and body mind therapies to complement her practice.  She became accredited with BACP and UKCP by completing a PG Diploma in Counselling and an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy from PET London, which was facilitated by the University of East London (UEL).   Her organisational experience includes front line work with a community action group, the Soho Society, from 2007-2012, working in conservation, festival organisation, press articles, photography as well as overseeing policy and planning matters.  She was Chairman of the society for two years. 

Wajan Hale is an experienced counsellor, teacher, mother and active member of her community. Her professional experience includes EAP counselling, drug and alcohol counselling, sexual assault counselling, grief and loss and trauma counselling. Wajan’s main passion as a counsellor is relationship counselling and she specialises in solution focused therapy and couples therapy.
