Gottman Method Couples Therapy - Level 3: Practicum

Level 3 Training deepens your mastery of the Gottman Method through videotaped cases of real couples, hands-on role plays, live demonstrations, and advanced discussion of clinical decision-making. You will expand your understanding of when and how to apply Gottman strategies, particularly with challenging dynamics, resistance, and co-morbidities. Trish and John will demonstrate assessments and interventions tailored to specific couples’ struggles, using audience volunteers to model real clinical challenges. You’ll then practise these techniques in small groups, with the trainers observing and offering practical tips and refinements in a safe, non-critical environment.

Following each role-play, you’ll participate in case consultations and in-depth discussions, gaining nuanced insight into the techniques demonstrated. This collaborative approach helps you develop a clear clinical roadmap for working effectively with couples.
There is no more immersive way to integrate the Gottman Method into your practice.
