Family Constellations - Exploring entanglements of intergenerational family patterns
Family constellations is a systemic, intergenerational and phenomenological process that addresses the client concerns by focusing on how the issue expresses in the larger family and social system. This elicits the potential to increase physiological and emotional wellness. Many people talk about intergenerational trauma epigenetics etc. but there are few models that directly work with it, this work allows us to enter safely into the field of our ancestors attending to the historical field that can be potentially holding us in unhelpful patterns. Family Constellations provides a secure container to experience and integrate difficult emotional states in a positive and supportive way. Gain awareness and understanding of how our family structures are implicit to our physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and expand the practice of embodiment.
The constellations are done “blind” to reduce the risk of projection and over identification. Whether attending as observer, representative or focus client all can experience the phenomenological nature of this work.
There will be 4-5 constellations throughout the day, and each person will bring their own topic which could be things like:
• Divorce and separation issues
• Parenting, children and behavior issues
• Relationship and family issues
• Financial / business Issues
• Behaviors that you no longer want
• Feelings you can’t explain or move past
• Symptoms / illness
• Relationship with yourself
• Patterns that keep repeating
• Grief
• Exclusion
