Tuning Relationships with Music Level One: Orientation & Assessment

2 day course 16 & 23 July 10:30am - 3pm (including breaks)

Tuning Relationships with Music® (TRM) is an evidence-based therapy for traumatised parents and their children, designed to help them improve connection and reduce conflict. Musical exercises teach families to learn safe ways of communicating, and to manage conflict in respectful ways. Level One training provides a detailed orientation to the theory and research underpinning TRM, and an introduction to using musical exercises to assess nonverbal aspects of parent-child interaction, including when they are in conflict.

This workshop counts as 8 hours of Category A CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

Presenter: Dr Vivienne Colegrove

Vivienne is a relationship/family therapist with an interest in working with couples and families where past trauma is affecting their ability to connect well. Vivienne developed and tested Tuning Relationships with Music® in response to an awareness that many of our existing methodologies may be inadequate to assist therapists to recognise and effectively intervene with nonverbal, autonomic and embodied manifestations of unprocessed trauma that may drive and maintain relational problems.
