Psychotherapy for End Times

PACFA TAS invites you to a face-to-face PD event: a facilitated discussion of a video article that reflects on the current crises and our work as psychotherapists and counsellors, both with clients and for ourselves. Professor Robert Romanyshyn, an internationally recognized scholar in “Depth Psychology” and an affiliate Member of The Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, offers us insightful reflection points in a 2-parts video article. In the first part Professor Romanyshyn reflects on the war in Ukraine, covid and climate crises as wake up calls for working with, rather than apart from nature. In the second part of the video he proposes that a radical change in human consciousness is needed, that can be ‘midwifed’ in the therapy room. He also proposes that a grieving process can be a “homecoming” that can heal our “broken bonds” with nature.  Can these ideas benefit your practice?

We will have a facilitated discussion on the themes / key concepts and interspersed with extracts from the video. The issues that emerge for us as therapists, and humans living on planet Earth, will inform that exploration.
