Neuropsychotherapy: Effective Strategies for Everyday Use

This workshop will present participants with two neuropsychotherapy tools easily transferable into client work. These tools allow clients to gain insight and clarity into the situations they are concerned about and with regular use, guide both the therapist and the client out of the storm and into calmer waters.

Heather McMillan
Heather is a Clinical Counsellor, Social Worker and accredited PACFA Supervisor currently based in Adelaide, South Australia. She has gained extensive experience since commencing full-time counselling practice in 2002 and enjoys working as a person-centred therapist assisting people to find peace in the midst of life’s challenges.
She has a particular interest in Neuropsychotherapy and assisting both counsellors and clients to use the practical application of this field of study to gain effective strategies for everyday use. In 2017 she completed the Certified Clinical Neuropsychotherapy Practitioner Training with the late Professor Pieter Rossouw. The professional body for this work is now under the International Association of Applied Neuroscience (IAAN). Heather also does regular PD updates on neuroscience and has been influenced by the work of Jennifer Sweeton (a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of trauma and PTSD).
