The Art and Science of Supervision

This Advanced Certificate and PACFA Endorsed Supervision Training brings together the science of supervision that informs the ‘know-how’ of practice, together with the art of supervision.

This training is offered to qualified and established professionals who work in counselling, psychotherapy and other people-focused professions.  It is suitable both for those who are seeking to begin their supervision practice or those with experience who would like to deepen their learning and practice.  A key focus of this course is the formation of professional supervisors as they establish their own unique professional identity and style.

A distinctive feature of this course – that involves teaching, interactive workshopping, practice opportunities and assessment – is the integration of creative arts-based supervision activities.

This course provides supervision frameworks based on Australian and international research into best practice. It facilitates generic competencies that apply to a range of helping professions and is endorsed by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) as meeting its Accredited Supervisor training requirements.
