Certificate of Psychedelic and Contemplative Therapies (CPACT): Foundational Units
Bridging Science and the Art of Healing

The Certificate of Psychedelic and Contemplative Therapies (CPACT) is a 200-hour certification program completed over 12 months, including 100 hours of foundational units and 100 hours of contemplative therapy elective units. The evidence-informed curriculum covers pharmacology, ethics, medical screening, preparation, integration, therapeutic relationships, contemplative practices, and Indigenous wisdom.

Anam Cara Centre develops training, clinical, and cultural retreat pathways for tomorrow’s compassionate, ethical, and skilled psychedelic therapists. All programs are guided by the SWIM model - Somatic, Wisdom, Interdependence, and Metacognition — a transtheoretical framework drawing on somatic awareness, theory of mind, attachment, adult development, and contemplative practice, supporting skilled and ethical engagement with the complexity of psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Participants will develop the skills, knowledge, and ethical grounding to support professional development and clinical competency in psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration, while fostering transformational growth for both clients and practitioners. Participants will also form part of an evolving community of practice grounded in ethical, legal, safe, and holistic psychedelic work.

Nurturing Your Unique Path: Contemplative Electives

Contemplative electives may include Holotropic Breathwork, mindfulness, Yin Yoga Teacher Training, Yogic Breathwork Teacher Training, Herbalism, Integration Training with ACER Integration, cultural immersion retreats in Peru, selected international practicum electives in jurisdictions such as Jamaica or the Netherlands where this is lawfully permitted, and somatic psychotherapy training including EMPATHS Integrative Somatic Psychotherapy (EISP).
