Course Outline: Certificate of Attainment in Supervision Course is made of four components of training:
Pre-course Training as part of their pre-course study, each student will read the academic text The Practice of Clinical and Counselling Supervision”, 2016 Pelling and Armstrong. This text lays the foundation for the three-day's workshop. Students will be required to complete a 42-question questionnaire relating to the contents of the textbook.  This is a mandatory requirement as it provides each student with a broad theoretical understanding of the different settings and theories of Supervision. 
All participants will receive a comprehensive manual on DAY 1 of their 3-day workshop.

Learning objectives
• To identify concepts and principles underling supervision.
• To increase participants’ ability to identify and apply arrange of theories motivational, power, learning, parallel processes, transference and counter transference, cognitive and emotional process, system theory.
• To increase participants’ understanding and ability to make an educational assessment incorporating application of theories of professional development stages and learning styles.
• To increase participants, understanding of the range of models of practice and to reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses arising out of their connections to the range of models.
• To heighten participants capacity to analyse new problems presented.

The RISE UP training program will be delivered over three days by an experienced registered PACFA, ACA Supervisors 
Pre-workshop Minimum of 80 hours to read the text and answer the questionnaire, plus write a 200-word essay 
DAY 1 The first day focuses primarily on theory and is spent working through the RISE UP workshop manual & power point presentation with participants interaction and discussion.
DAY 2 Begins with viewing and critiquing of a Supervision session. This is followed by a practice session working through scenarios from the workshop manual in triads. The afternoon is then spent with students assessing and supervising 30-minute sessions in triads, as preparation for the final day assessment phase.
DAY 3 This is the formal assessment day where each student rotates through a triad rotating through the three positions of Supervisor, Assessor and Supervisee. Each position is completed over a 60 minutes period.
Day 4 To be finalised 60 days, after completing days 1,2,3, Supervisor is to deliver 12 Supervised Supervision Sessions, with the critique witnessed by the supervisee for assessment. interactive workbook provided

There are no role plays in training program. Our philosophy is that you can’t learn the real from the unreal.   All students are to bring real and relevant issues for supervision to the workshop.
