EFCT Online Masterclass - Beyond Betrayal

This workshop will provide an overview of the research and theoretical models of adult attachment from the perspective of injuries to attachment bonds in romantic relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust as a result of broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

The Attachment Injury Resolution Model will be introduced and video footage of a heterosexual couple engaging in this model will be shown. Participants will receive practical strategies for assisting their clients to repair attachment injuries arising from breaches in trust as well as clear guidance and tools for working with emotional blocks in the EFT process. There will be opportunity for questions and discussion as well as practical, experiential exercises.
