A four day externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples

This four-day event introduces mental health professionals to the EFT for Couples model, interventions and the three change events that help a couple move from conflict or alienation to a more secure bond.  The work shop integrates attachment and emotion theories through  EFT experiential exercises, didactic teaching, recordings of sessions and role-play exercises. This workshop is the first step toward becoming a Certified EFT Couples Therapist, through the International Centre for EFT, Ottawa Canada.

Presenter:

Jenny Fitzgerald PhD is a Member of the Clinical College of the APS and has been an ICEEFT certified EFT trainer for ten years. She treats distressed individuals and couples in her private practice in Brisbane and is currently retiring from 20 years of academic and clinical teaching at The University of Queensland.   Jenny has taught EFT in every state  and  territory of Australia, and has edited Foundations for Couples Therapy: Research for the Real World (2017), and is co-author with Veronica Kallos- Lilly, of An emotionally focused workbook for couples: The two of Us. The second edition was released in December 2021, and the first edition has been translated into six languages. 

This course counts towards 26.5 hours of category A CPD.
