Interpersonal Conflict: an existential-phenomenological perspective

Karen Weixel-Dixon takes an existential-phenomenologically-informed view of conflict. She posits that conflict of any kind is always personal and that facilitating conflict resolution has little to do with objective logic or rationale and everything to do with personal (and cultural) values and aspirations.

Karen will examine with you the root of conflict and explore the significant role of emotions and the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of resolution in order to deepen understanding of the defensive strategies that almost always come into play. The aim is for you to gain a better understanding of how to engage with the conflict resolution process so that a fruitful outcome emerges.

This course counts towards 9 hours of category A CPD.
