Treating PTSD and Complex Trauma (Day 1-4) with Dr Leah Giarratano

This self-paced training program presents a highly practical and interactive workshop for treating PTSD and complex post traumatic stress disorder, requiring 30 hours to complete. The content is applicable to both adult and adolescent populations and is intended for all graduate mental health professionals. The program includes detailed handouts and numerous case examples. The emphasis is upon imparting practical skills and up-to-date research in this area. Material is delivered via didactic presentations, case-based learning (using real, de-identified clients), videos, small group discussions, and invivo practice of skills. Two learning modes are available including a livestream and a self-paced online home study video program.

Presenter/s:

Leah Giarratano is an Australian registered clinical psychologist and an author of fiction and nonfiction books. As a psychologist she has vast clinical and teaching expertise in traumatology, working in this area since 1995, across many trauma populations and utilising several evidenced based treatment modalities.

This course counts towards 30 hours of category A CPD.
